/driː/ · Irish for "druid"
An AI coding agent you actually control.
Not another chat window. A programmable pipeline where you design the steps and pick which model handles each one.
Draoi (pronounced "dree") is the old Irish word for druid — the keeper of knowledge in Gaelic tradition. Draoithe were not wizards in the fairy-tale sense. They were the community's scholars, lawgivers, physicians, and engineers, bound by oath to preserve and apply their craft.
That is the spirit of this tool. Modern coding is a craft — one that has, until now, been paired awkwardly with AI assistants that auto-complete your lines and hope for the best. Draoi is built differently. You design the pipeline. You decide which model handles planning, which writes code, which reviews the diff, which runs the tests. One tool, many roles. Your workflow, not some vendor's opinion of how you should work.
Saoi convenes a council of AI minds to deliberate your questions. Draoi takes that deliberation and builds with it. Sibling products, both named in Irish, both refusing to pretend that one model has all the answers.
Built in Ireland. Named in Irish. Because the best craft-words are the ones that still carry their meaning.
Define the steps. Pick the tools. Choose which model handles planning, coding, review, or verification. Your workflow, your rules.
Claude, GPT-4o, Gemini, Mistral, Llama, Groq, DeepSeek, and more. Bring your own API keys. Use the best model for each step.
API keys encrypted per-user with a scrypt-derived key. Your password never touches the server. AES-256-GCM on every secret.
Reusable, signed skill packages that teach Draoi how to handle specific tasks: migrations, auth flows, deploys, refactors.
Run independent steps concurrently. Let one model draft while another verifies. Stop wasting wall-clock time on sequential thinking.
A proper CLI, not a wrapper around a chat box. Works in your real environment, on your real files, with your real toolchain.
Draoi is in alpha. The docs, the skills library, and the first public build are being shaped now. If you care about the craft of software, this is the door.
